Fitness and performance tests usually take place once a year. The test includes stamina, strength, tactical movements, climbing with equipment (rope technique), balancing, swimming, close combat, sharpshooting, survival.
As part of the suitability assessment, a psychology test is also carried out. This primarily tests character traits such as perseverance, teamwork and behaviour in stressful situations. The sports standards vary greatly between the different areas of operation. OET forces meet the basic requirements, but the requirements are much higher for members of the UET teams and bodyguards. The toughest criteria apply to the
Sunder-Phuman protectionKommando SPK-18 (VIP and GP escort).
UEKs - regardless of their area of operation - do an average of 8 hours of service sport per month. This generally takes place outside of working hours. Studio and club training under the guidance of special trainers and instructors are available weekly. Applicants and interested parties can register for and take part in tests or open club training at any time. All participants who successfully complete tests, courses or training receive certificates for their achievements.
